Calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) for physical eligibility.
Check Body Mass Index (BMI) & medical eligibility for Police, Army & Defense.
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a medical standard used by the Indian Armed Forces, SSC GD Constable, State Police, and UPSC Civil Services medical boards to evaluate whether an applicant is physically fit for service. According to standard defense medical guidelines, candidates must maintain a normal BMI between 18.5 and 24.9. Being underweight (BMI < 18.5) or overweight (BMI > 25.0) can lead to temporary or permanent medical disqualification during physical efficiency tests (PET/PST).
In government defense recruitment, height alone is not enough; your weight must be strictly proportionate to your height. Our free online BMI Calculator allows you to check your exact BMI score instantly and provides medical recommendations to help you prepare before your official physical standard test.
